WHY I’M RUNNING

I first ran for state representative because becoming a first-time father during the pandemic made me more committed than ever to working toward a future where all residents of Whatcom County are thriving. I’m running for re-election to ensure that everyone in our community has equitable access to affordable housing across the housing continuum; living wage jobs in their communities; high-quality educational opportunities for learners of all ages; and reliable internet for connecting with jobs, school, and health care.

Prior to serving as a state representative, I gained a decade of experience working in public service at the local, state, and federal levels of government. I am passionate about state government, and I am ready to continue working hard as your representative in the Legislature. I am proud of the work that we accomplished during my first term in office, but I know there’s more work to do. I have the experience to continue being effective in Olympia on behalf of our community, and if re-elected, I will continue to be a champion for everyone in Whatcom County, no matter their political affiliation.

We need listen-first leaders in Olympia; leaders who recognize that the people they serve are the experts on what their communities need, and are willing to sit down, listen, and learn from their constituents. If re-elected, I am committed to continue doing just that. Donate

Our campaign is a safe and welcoming place for all our community members, please review our Code of Conduct and reach out with any questions or concerns.
